2018 Volkswagen Passat GT Price
There’s a new trim for the Passat GT that’s heading into dealerships in the second quarter of 2018: The VW Passat GT. If you’ve been admiring the looks of this vehicle for the similarity to the Golf GTI, you’re not alone. The only question is how much will the 2018 Volkswagen Passat GT cost? The official starting price for the model is $29,090. Here’s why it’s worth it.
Style of the Passat GT
You’ll recall that Volkswagen introduced the R-Line last year, and the new GT shares many similarities. The key element that differentiates both options from the standard Passat is the front bumper. The GT takes styling further with red accent lines that run through the headlights and frame the grille, while black accents create a contrast that is sure to draw the eye.
We know for your money, you want more than just looks. The Passat GT isn’t an underpowered model disguised as a Gran Turismo. Rather, it has the 280-horsepower 3.6-liter V6 engine that was previously only found in the top-tier V6 SEL Premium trim. Now, you can have a model that features this robust engine, while saving some money and enjoying more aggressive styling.
But what about features? So far we know the trim will have some luxuries such as heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control and the 6.3-liter touchscreen infotainment system. Volkswagen App-Connect, which include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink connectivity.
Powerful, well-stocked and attractive, the Passat GT will be an exciting addition to the lineup. Like every other model offered this year, it will also have the People First Warranty, which is a full bumper-to-bumper warranty that lasts up to six years or 72,000 miles.
