2018 Volkswagen Jetta Tampa FL
When they say big things come in small packages, they mean power. Thanks to a turbocharged, small displacement engine, the 2018 Volkswagen Jetta delivers impressive performance to drivers in the Tampa FL area. Here at Brandon Volkswagen, we’re proud to say the vehicle comes with three total engine comes, the 1.4-liter turbo, the 1.8-liter turbo and the 2.0-liter turbo. The base engine offers an ample 150 horsepower, while the mid-level 1.8-liter gives a respectable 170 horses. Of course, there’s just one trim that truly provides thrills: The 210-horsepower 2.0-liter found in the performance-focused Jetta GLI.
Six trims provide plenty of options for the 2018 model year: S, Wolfsburg Edition, SE, SE Sport, SEL and GLI. The Wolfsburg Edition and SE Sport are fresh selections for those looking for a little more in the way of comfort and style, while the other trims continue with only minor updates for the model year.
2018 VW Jetta Trim Options
Though the 2018 Volkswagen Jetta does have a few minor updates, including fresh wheel designs and a new chrome front grille, changes overall don’t offer much of an impact to the driving experience. That said, a new Volkswagen People First Warranty, which offers six years or 72,000 miles of bumper-to-bumper coverage makes it a worthwhile upgrade from the 2017 model year.
Though the four trims that continue from last year remain much the same, aside from style upgrades, the Wolfsburg Edition and SE Sport both provide mid-level options with a different selection of features. The Wolfsburg Edition, for example, is an upgrade to the base S trim. This means it includes the standard rearview camera, 5-inch audio touchscreen, power windows and lock, cruise control and manual air conditioning, and then adds on a sport front bumper, fog lights, Wolfsburg badging, heated seats, leatherette upholstery and heated windshield washer nozzles.
The SE Sport, an upgrade to the SE, offers up additional interior and exterior trim details such as a black headliner, Bathhurst aluminum-alloy wheels, a black radiator grills, window trim, side mirror caps and a rear spoiler.
Now available to test drive here at Brandon Volkswagen, the 2018 VW Jetta continues to offer an appealing option to compact car shoppers.
